Auks One has been creating impressions upon surfaces, substrates, and psyches since his early childhood and there appears to be no end in sight, as the means are infinite as potential. "My work is only a manifestation of the imagination imparted upon me from a higher plane," says the multi-disciplined artist "My job is to work diligently to assure that as a conduit for creativity, I am fully equipped to do so".
Throughout his Artistic Journey, Auks has garnered the support of his contemporaries, patrons, spectators and the many who would term him a genuine individual and inspiration. Auks states that his intentions are to continue learning while undertaking the Great Work to inspire, awaken and enliven the human spirit, incite social change and raise awareness in a material world full of blind successes and successions.
"This accomplished piece of greyscale style is a marvel when considering the complex pictorial combination of symbols, figures and forms all unified in a tightly considered composition of grey tones. Known in proper art history as grisaille mural paintings, this style reached its peak in popularity as well as technical accomplishment during the High Renaissance. Whilst not specifically influenced by these murals, AuksOne fully and consciously embraces the traditional subject manner of a historical narrative."

"More evident if one examines his photographs, his greyscale reveals a complex layering of coloring and modeling of form to create both a graphic quality and volume of the figures. In capitalizing on all these more traditional approaches to mural painting, so popular during pre-modern times, AuksOne manages to reinvigorate an outmoded approach with iconography and style of popular culture. It is in this way that urban artists play on the tradition, making it their own by renewing interest in it and reimagining it within our contemporary context."
